Emissione della luce
LIGHT EMISSION

The only major component of a digital projector we haven't yet
discussed is the projection lens, which projects a
focused image of the panel(s) onto an external screen surface. To do this
with any fidelity requires a large number of lens elements-- as many as
twelve are not uncommon.
Most projection lenses have adjustable focus and zoom. Some projectors
allow the lens to be shifted up and down, others also
left and right. This moves the image with respect to the projector without
introducing keystone distortion, which would result if the projector were
simply tilted in the desired direction. The projection lenses on these
projectors tend to be much larger and heavier than fixed models because of
the need to maintain reasonably uniform brightness across the image. Focus,
zoom, and lens shifts, when available, are typically accomplished using
small DC motors under the control of the CPU. These are, in essence, the
projector's muscular system.
WRAP UP
I see by the clock that our class time is up. Hopefully, from this brief
course you have gained a better understanding of what lies inside a
digital projector and how it all works together. If you own or otherwise
have access to a digital projector, your homework assignment is simple: go
watch movies. Class dismi
